Basic Bead Earring Materials

When you are just starting to learn this craft, you don't need to have all those complicated items and materials. First, all you need is that eagerness to learn how to make these stuffs. Second, go to action and find a person or websites where you could learn the basic skills. And lastly, buy your materials one at a time.

I got into beading because; first, I want to create an item that is uniquely mine, wherein no one in the world have this design and color except me and second, I want to recreate an item I found in department stores but found those accessories pricey and I believe I could do those stuffs myself; better, prettier and not that costly.

Then, I got into action and read websites how they twist those metals and make the whole item. For beaded earrings, I learned it while walking along Quiapo's tiny streets wherein men make fancy earrings by twisting gold wires and placing swarovski stones. Yes, I diligently watched these men and find it interesting that girls accessories were designed and made by real men. It seems, just like most haute couture houses, men have a good eye on what is beautiful for women and we buy it.

Lastly, while watching these men, I also learn what materials to purchase and starts buying one item at a time. Eventually and you won't notice it, you already have a bulk of different beads, metal fillings, jewelry making supplies and by then, you're already knew where are the stores that offers quality supplies.

It's actually a journey. First, I do it for myself. Then, I made them for my sisters and nieces. Afterwards, I donated them to charity so that cute little girls could feel feminine wearing pretty earrings. Then, friends and office mates learned I am making it and they are more than glad to receive it as gifts. Later, some will bought it and eventually I realized, hey, I could make money out of this passion for beads.

Recently, I launched my online shop and started learning the business side of it. Now, I diligently updating this blog site so I could help those who wants to learn the craft just like me before.
