Create an Art Work Using Your Cellphone Camera Effects

This beautiful flower in my office's hallway caught my attention and while waiting for a friend; decided to be the star of my next creative piece.

Left my digital camera at home so I opted to use for my humble but always ready Nokia C3 phone to capture this beauty. However, the lighting inside the area was so poor that I couldn't capture the rich color of the plant. Then I observed that I could play with the camera's effects: greyscale, normal, sepia and negative. When I get home, I collage the pictures, place it side by side and a simple art emerged from what was an experiment just little later.

Try it for yourself. Get one thing and take photos of it using your phone's different camera effects. Have it printed and then frame. Simple but a statement piece worthy to be place in your room.

Portable Weighing Scale

Bought a portable weighing scale; an online seller's necessity. Least I am not clueless anymore
with the weight of my shipment when I bring them to my courier.

I posted it on my online tindahan www.ladynyx14.sulit.com.ph just in case somebody is having
issues like I'd encountered.

Guess a five kilos capacity scale is enough as of now. I am praying for bigger shipments so I could upgrade my weighing scale to 20 or 30 kilos and digital like what Mail and More have
in their store. Oh, maybe someday that will happen. Praying.

Ribbon Flower

The ribbon flower I make for a friend's DIY kit.
I instructed her to put it in the brooch.
If she will be creative, she can place it elsewhere like in a headband or ponytail.

Bead Bracelets Designs (November 2012)

One Sleepless Night

Received an order in my sulit account; www.ladynyx14.sulit.com.ph and instantly said yes to buyer's order of 50 pairs of simple earrings. Good thing his instruction was assorted designs so I rummaged my box of materials and checked if I can create fifty pairs with my remaining supplies. Not convinced though, coz I wanted to deliver assorted designs to my buyer that I have to run to my nearest craftshop, CAROLINA's at MegaMall to get some new beads.

How long does it take me to finish the fifty pairs? A lenghty SEVEN hours. How does that happened? I watched television, texting my friends and eat in between thinking of designs and creating them. So that's it, I never sleep for a whole night and must go to work the following day with an online training waiting for me when I returned home. If I focused, fifty pairs including packaging might only take me three hours, including design thinking.

Lesson learned: Move faster and focused.

But after all the hard word and sleepless night, when my buyer finally called so he could pick up his order and I received the payment right away, I feel great. Oh, I honestly feel great. My buyer is a guy and his giving it as a gift to his girlfriend which is a very sweet gesture, I couldnt help to tell him his such a sweet partner ;-P

Post this same picture in my facebook page and friends were happy about my new "raket". Keep on receiving inquiries and questions and small orders as well.

(Sweet) Realization : My talent is a gift. (giggles,LOL)

My Customized Doll Box Measurement

I've finally decided to sell my hand-crafted doll gown. I enjoyed sewing my dolls their dresses but I'm living in a shared apartment and could no longer display them all, so my lovely dolls and their gowns are just in boxes.

I contacted a local seller of acetate boxes to check if they can customize me a box with my own measurement. After I received a reply, now I have to decide the measurement of my box. Funny, for the longest time I never knew what is a typical Barbie doll height is, so I have to rely on Google again to give me the answer. According to Wikipedia, a standard Barbie doll is 11'5 inches tall and I have to convert it to centimeters so I could give it to the supplier coz that is what they ask.

Note: 1 inch = 2.54 centimeters

My box will be: Height (34 cm) x Length (22 cm) x Width (13 cm)

Will update this blog if my acetate boxes arrive and will be posting my doll gowns as well.

Make a Gift Wrapper Wall Frame

Mona Lisa's wall frame had been sitting for quite some time in the corner of my room in my parent's house. I like the replica of the world's best known art work- Mona Lisa, with her enchanting smile, an enigmatic model, with a charm I wanted to describe as beautiful, yet I also wanted to describe as simple, plain and ordinary. Somehow, it seems I experienced the same dilemma art interpreters, art enthusiasts and fanatics felt when they saw this uncanny piece of art.
